This was brought up in a different forum and I thought it was interesting to see other people's opinions.
"What's worse?
Who's more of a moron? (the alcoholic or the pothead?)"
I have seen both ruin lives and kill. But to me (I have never done any drug in my life except alcohol) I would prefer people on alcohol than drugs. Even though alcohol can turn people violent, I think everyone just needs to learn their limit.

Personally I think that marijuana is actually not as bad as alcohol.I have seen too many fights to count when people were drunk, and I actually cant think of any I have seen when people were stoned. Of course neither of them are that bad in a moderate dose but in high doses both are very bad and dangerous. But if your talking about more dangerous drugs like meth or coke then the drugs would definitely be the worse of the two. That was just my opinion though

the Mary Jane has the same effect on driving as alcohol. If not worse effects on driving. I have seen too many horrors of driving under the influence for both.
Also, one joint has the same cancerous effect as 20 cigarettes.

Well, I think that the Alcohol is bad if it is consumed in big dose, but if it is drunk with moderation I don't see problem. In the case of the drugs, it can be a little more conflicting the matter, because is some more dangerous and more addictive ones that other, but if you considered the marijuana, I don't see the problem. The problem in fact resides in that the person is addicted to the alcohol or the marijuana, but if she or he is an occasional consumers, I think that is not bad. The drugs many times are views like something diabolical, as if they were the worst thing, but the alcohol is sometimes worse, it causes more traffic accidents, but nobody says too much in this respect. It is an interesting contradiction to discuss.

I find that those who do drugs, especially marijuana, try to make *exceptions* for it when they debate about drugs. I strongly beleive, there should be no drugs beside purely medicinal, and should only be used if you have that condition. People werent made to take these, mind alteration substances, we evolved without them, and we went far didnt we?

I don't think that this discussion is inappropriate in this forum. I think that is very interesting to see the opinion of everyone, although you doesn't agree necessarily with them. Also, this discussion is in the General Board, what means, according to me, that here we can discuss what we want, although that doesn't have relationship with Dark Oracle, otherwise, for what reason this section exists?
