Over the weekend I finished reading a book called: Blood Sucking Fiends (a love story)
by the author Christopher Moore.
Its a vampire love story - sort of. Its a comedy and had me laughing out loud at times. The man is a brilliant satirist and he has a truly twisted and wicked sense of humor.
The basic premise is that a 26 year old woman gets turned into a vampire, falls in love with a 19 year old struggling writer who moves in with her after their first date, and the hijinks they get into trying to make the relationship work.
Just funny wacky stuff. Give it a read....if you dare! bwa ha ha ha ha!

Awww, don't be sad. I've read this book before, frickin' hilarious in a darkish way. Excellent book, indeed. I shall never look at turtles the same way again lol.

I wrote a quick email to the author telling him I enjoyed his work (he posts his email in the book) and I got a very funny personal response from him in less than an hour! How cool is that?

In my email I mentioned that I enjoyed the book "Lamb - the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" over passover and that there was one passage in particular that made me snarf matzo through my nose. The following was his response:
David: Thanks for the nice note. The Passing of the Matzo, is, in fact, and old Jewish tradition, which has been forgotten, as is the second part, "Out of the Nose." I'm glad you have resumed your faithful duties. (Wow, I'm even amazed how full of sh*t I can be sometimes.) Hope the rest of the books work for you. Maseltoff! Chris
(His spelling is nasty - especially for a writer - but that can be forgiven)

Haha, that's awesome. Snarf, hehe. He must be really dedicated, most writers take forever to reply and sometimes never do. He seems like a really cool guy as well. It's also really funny lol.
