CSI is an awesome (addicting) show, which has about 10 different episdoes airing a day; but that's a good thing. Does anybody else watch it?

I'm in Forensics and I hear about CSI every day. Mainly about how inaccurate it is compared to real forensic work. I've never seen the show though.

Really? I'm planning to be a forensic scientist. It's odd how the show solves a crime really easily like that, but that's TV I guess.

You both want to be forensic scientists? Is there a specific discipline which interests you? Because unlike CSI, in the real world, one person doesn't do 20 different jobs lol. My program is a double major, I'll probably declare biology as my other major, I'm not sure yet if a career in forensics is my first choice.

Lab technician, I'm thinking. It's weird how we all want to do that

So I'm the only person replying to this thread who has absolutely no interest in science, huh? I'm so special

I know that the TV show is total bull compared to the actual work. People come up to me and say, "You know the show glorifies it?" Yes, yes it does. I was thinking the Crime Scene analyst or the mortian, but for the mortitian I need a medical degree. Blah... Where are you taking your courses?

Let us know how it all works out for you, the thing about forensics is that it takes so long just going to school but, I guess it's all worth it.

The course I'm applying for at Trent is only four years. Unless I want to be the mortitian (Dr.'s degree, I believe)...

I'm still looking into that, and keeping my options open. Who knows? We may even end up in the same place.
