I saw the Sponge Bob movie on a plane to England back in March. It's the only time I ever saw anything other than an ad for him, so I really didn't know what he was all about. I decided to watch the movie and actually caught myself laughing a few times.... especially the David Hasselhoff scene.... teh funny.
I don't know... I think its a kid's show and is made with that in mind. Just ignore him and eventually he'll go away.
Just like Pee Wee Herman

i am not about to argue the quality of the show... it seems genuinely silly and fun... it just doesn't really do it for me. That is in no way a knock against those that do like it... i say that if it makes you laugh... enjoy it!
It's just that it brings back the unfortunate events of the Helsinki incident of 1987... I'll never forget the smell... the smell of soap bubbles. Oh lord... I'm having a painful flashback! "Mommy - Daddy! Nooooooo!!!!!"
DAMN YOU SPONGE BOB!! DAMN YOU TO HELLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!
I'll just huddle here in the corner in the fetal position.....

It's a kid's show.
The characters and writing are geared for YOUNG children and is therefore devoid of ANY sexual connotations.
People with far too much time on their hands are looking for things to bitch and moan about. These are the same people that claim the teletubbies are gay.
THESE ARE FICTIONAL TV CHARACTERS AIMED AT PRE SCHOOLERS!!! of course they are gay.
oy vey.

Spongebob looks like a kitchen sponge instead of a sea sponge. On another level, he looks like a cheese..........a damn stinky cheese.

His annoyance gets the best of me sometimes. But on the movie, the redneck part was pretty funny. I thought it was frickin hilarious.

Aren't they supposed to create educational programs for the children of today? It may just rob the kids of their dignity, when I first watched it, it felt as if my soul had been raped. Thus, Spongebob Squarepants is a much better show for the youth to be watching.

Thus, Spongebob Squarepants is a much better show for the youth to be watching. I don't think that any animated show is good or educational. especially shows like the Power Puff Girls or the Ninja Turtles. Spongebob Squarepants may not violent, but I don't think it's very educational.
