Well I thought someone else would start the thread for the episode, but I guess not so here. Since YTV is updating their episodes now, I'll save some time and just copy what they wrote. Lance is playing an online role-playing game 24/7 and even Dizzy thinks he's out of control. A staged intervention fails utterly and Lance is back at the keyboard. Through the clues in the comic, the others figure out that the guy Lance has been gaming with online is none other than Blaze.* * * * * Ok, so last week's episode might be unbeatable... but this one was pretty awesome too. I liked when they did that intervention thing and Lance helped that guy Fred. I thought it was hilarious. I don't care if he was addicted, Lance looked so happy. It made me smile. But... did he seriously agree to break up with Sage if Vern won?! Stupid things like THAT is why he annoys me. So Vern has a crush on Sage, huh? haha. That's pretty funny. And kind of sad. The comic confuses me.

The episode wasn't bad. Personally, I nitpicked a lot throughout the episode. It was an MMORPG, and they continued to call it such, but it seems as if they couldn't decide if 'level' meant of the character, or stage, which I found annoying. David Rendall was as smokin' as ever, and I think Vern liking Sage is pretty cute, though depressing because it just won't happen.
Anyone else catch onto Violet's back-stabbing? If a person dies in our world, their comic character dies too, as proved in Sage's plead last episode (don't let us die,) so it was pretty nasty of Violet to hypnotize the custodian into killing Lance before Blaze and him could swap places.
Also, cute nod to Guild Wars by making the maximum level 30.

Actually Kimi - I think Chatterbox started a thread but she called it Lance's Obsession.
I totally agree that last week's episode will be hard to beat. This one was different. Not as exciting but had some funny moments. I liked the intervention thing.
Kimi don't be so hard on Lance. There's no way he would have broken off with Sage just to win a game. I think Blaze had him all wrapped up in this game and was messing with his mind. And I actually felt kind of bad for Vern. His crush on Sage is kind of pathetic.

It seemed like Lance was more shocked that Vern liked Sage than the fact that he was being asked to break up with her. And when Vern tried to take it to the next level by ignoring the bet and just telling him to break up with her for the stone, it took Lance a bit to say no. Not to mention he'd ignored her practically the whole time, while she was so worried for him... They're really painting him to be a jerk lately. May I theorize this is to make some tension for a possible mid-season break-up?

I thought the episode was good, but I didn't like it half as much as the first three in this season. I hope that Lance and Sage don't break up because they are perfect for each other. I personally don't like Vern, and I think that if he and Sage did start going out, it would never work! Even though Lance was addicted to video games, he's still hot!

Last week's episode was like infinity times better than this one! I can't believe Lance ignored Sage like that! The part with the gamer that was telling Lance to stop gaming was funny, when Lance was like "You go under the bridge." Haha. The only other good parts were the ones with Vern. I must admit, I was very dissapointed with this episode. It was nothing compared to the first three of the season.

Can't say this was one of my most fave episodes really. Something was just missing for me. It was good, but not as good as the others have been...

I thought it was just me. I think the 1st 3 episodes were so exciting that this one seemed kind of slow. I REALLY missed Evil Sage. Instead of the whole intervention thing she would have kicked Lance's butt! ;D
I did like how happy Lance looked when he got to level 30. He was really cute. The part where Sage pretended to almost cry to get into the building where Lance was (museum I think) - made me laugh. And I guess that girl who hangs out with Vern isn't his GF. He asked Lance to break up with Sage right in front of her and she didn't seem to care at all. I kind of felt bad for Vern. I didn't realize that he really had a crush on Sage. I thought he was always using Sage to piss off Lance.

I am SO angry! Now I can't watch it until reruns! And it was a crap show, with an even crappier episode. Ugh! They were pretending to be metalheads or something, it was really pathetic. Grrr......

I liked the episode. No nitpicking here. :-) I know my son, who's a gamer, also liked the computer shot of the game.
It was neat that Blaze was able to control Lance through the online RPG and almost succeeded in changing places. It's fun watching the comic characters grow in strength. How soon till another character is sucked into the comic world? Maybe one of the others will have to go in and try a daring rescue. Hey, think there might be a mass exchange with all the good guys trapped in the comic fighting to get out? :-) Time will tell.
Naturally, Vern still has a crush on Sage. In his mind, she's still the same person, right? :-)
Cally and the new guy (sorry, I don't remember his name) are so cute together. And I definitely liked the 'under the bridge' comment. Very funny. :-)
Keep 'em coming!
Until the next episode, Karatemom :-)

I saw this one last night. I was so happy because I set my VCR last Sat and it wasn't on. I like this episode. It wasn't as exciting as the last 2 but I still liked it. The intervention was hilarious. I like this new guy for Cally way better than Jack. Lance's attitude towards Sage pissed me off. Last episode he totally freaked out because he thought she didn't love him anymore and now he's taking her for granted again. He didn't even seem jealous when Vern told him to break up with her. He shouldn't take her for granted. Did anyone else notice that in the intervention Sage said "He's my boyfriend and I LIKE him" - she didn't say LOVE. I think it's a clue that if Lance keeps it up Vern may have a chance with her. He seems to understand her.

Did not anyone notice? alex said that because the worlds were becoming more alike , there was no "shift" anymore , but I recall seeing one right before the Owner guy got possesed by violet. It must have something to do with Blaze and Violets powers. another oppinion I had (not to put down Dark Oracle) was that they made the counterparts look more alike so that , when they leave the comic , they can use the same actors, along with aforementioned reasons from other members. later days.

Hey all, I agree that this episode did not live up to the first three. Of course it was still awesome, but the first few were just soooooo good! I thought the part where Sage was pretending to cry was so funny. Oh, and Calli and Emett are so super cute together! And what was up with Vern trying to steal Sage away? I mean, it was kind of cute to see him be kinda vulnerable, but still - that's not cool. And Lance had no intention of breaking up with her (someone mentioned that he was thinking about it). I mean, instead of breaking up with her, he was willing to sacrifice a huge part of the game. That's love right there my friends - willing to give up something that he is totally obsessed about? Go Lance

I loved Vern in this episode. Of course he still likes Sage after the way she grabbed him and kissed him - he doesn't know that it wasn't really her. He probably thinks she still likes him. And the way Lance is kind of ignoring her I wouldn't blame her if she actually did want to go out with Vern. One thing I didn't understand was why Dizzy didn't go into the museum with Cally to help Lance. I know Sage was the decoy (she was too cute) but why did Dizzy wait outside now that he knows about the comic?

Just saw this one and I loved it! I understand Lance's obsession with his games. Been there, done that! Loved the whole intervention thing. Really funny. Thought the part where he stepped on the glass and smashed Blaze's face was very cool. Gotta say I miss the Evil Sage. Lance just goes out and leaves her at his house? What are they like married now? And why didn't Dizzy go into the museum and help Lance & Cally. He knows about the comic now so why did he stay out?
